Into of the Wicked Problem
Hello, my name is William Duncan. I am a senior Economics & Business major and Rhetoric minor at Hampden-Sydney College. I am from Pinehurst, North Carolina. I chose to attend Hampden-Sydney because I truly appreciate the sense of community and brotherhood found here. The pride with which the students, alumni, and faculty talk about this school convinced me before ever taking a step on campus.
Take a look through the gallery below and you will see some of my interests and hobbies. One of the most important places in my life is Camp Sea Gull in Arapahoe, NC. It is here where I learned twelve years ago to sail and where I have worked with children for the past six years. Sailing has turned into one of my biggest passions. It's funny...I have experienced many of the same sensations of sailing at H-SC. I have been blessed to have the opportunity to study abroad in Barcelona, Spain. I haven't many opportunities to travel, so studying in Spain was a no brainer. I love to travel. I still have many places I have to visit and I plan on checking as many from the list as possible. I can also talk sports with a brick wall. I love sports and I love the business of sports. I'm one of those guys that can watch ESPN all day and not get tired of it. I hope to combine these passions in a career in Sports Management and one day become an Athletic Director for a college or university.
